Questions about the floorsheet

What is a NEPSE floorsheet?
The list NEPSE publishes of every trade in a session: the company, the buying broker, the selling broker, the number of shares and the price. A busy company can have thousands of rows in a day. This page adds those rows up by broker.
Why is the busiest broker shown as two percentages?
Because a broker can be on both sides. Adding its buying and selling together can make one broker look like it handled most of a company’s trading when it was matching many clients on each side. Its share of the buying and its share of the selling, with its net, say what actually happened.
Does heavy net buying by a broker mean the price will rise?
No. A broker trades for many clients, and these are trades that already happened. The totals show where the trading ran, not where the price goes next.
Why 30 days and not today?
The web snapshot carries each company’s broker totals over the last 30 days, which covered 18 trading sessions for most companies. Today’s floorsheet, live during the session, is in the Punji app.
